Lovely day of art and theater. Also a pleasant surprise running into so many SFAI people at the Whitney. Cléa, Britt... Its been a full few days. Day1 was MOMA followed by Chelsea followed by an Open House at the China Institute Gallery and a late dinner with the lovely Annysa. Day2 was a studio visit and yummy lunch with Lina at Smack Melon with the added bonus of meeting her studio-mate Saya and seeing her work too. Then off to explore galleries in Brooklyn and visit a friend from undergrad at the SMFA who is running her own creative space and bar in Brooklyn (the Project Parlor). Day3 was the Whitney Biennial and collection followed by a lovely walk in the park and a visit to the MET (in particular Ink Art Past as Present in Contemporary China- Annysa have you seen this?), then waiting for Godot with friends. So good to be here. Tomorrow its back to SF and the studio.
