Lovely weather were having. Im down here in **Alabama.** The temp is 25, the wind chill is 13, and the gusts are up to 25-30mph. And dropping. By close of regular business (5pm), they are forecasting the wind chill to be about 3F. By the time Darrell finishes his regular restaurant gig at 9pm, the wind chill will be well below zero, according to local meteorologists. This is the first time in awhile that I actually started the faucets dripping in the daytime. And then theres the neighbor across the street, who came banging on my door because her power is out, and could I heat up a bit of milk for her to drink? I offered her coffee -- she declined. I offered her cocoa, and she declined again. So I said yes, of course Ill heat her milk to drink, and she comes back with a BIG TALL GLASS of chocolate milk **AND** a big measuring cup half full of regular milk -- to put in her oatmeal. (I didnt know I was fixing her breakfast.) Then, once I got them hot in the microwave, I go to give it to her -- and shes not there. I get outside just in time to see her disappear into her house with the electric guy. I had my hands full and barely able to manipulate my own door. So I had to hike across the street in shirtsleeves, both hands full, and kick on her door (because no hands) and wait for her to come to get her milk...
