Loving Father- Thank You for Your promises and eternal presence. Thank You for love I can count on. You are my strength and my rock. About a month ago I checked one of my email accounts and the look had changed. I thought I could find a way to go back to the “classic” view but this time they forced me to change. Within a week or so, my other email account did the same thing! It was almost too much. I finally am getting used to the new versions. I still want the old ones back but I have no choice. Just when I thought I was going to be okay…Facebook changed their view again!! In my head I can hear the voice of Darth Vadar, “Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!” I am not sure why the “look and feel” of web sites and email services change. They probably think it is the way of progress. I would love to complain to them but since the services are free…well… I am so fortunate today to have choice in most matters. But some things are out of my control and, whether I like them or not, they are reality. When I want to fight and complain then I know that I am not spiritually centered. Trying to change a tiger’s stripes is a meaningless task. If I can change it then I will stomp my feet and whine. That just spreads my bad attitude on to others! God does not change. Things do. Am I growing in my relationship with God? Am I making progress with Him? Am I trusting Him a little more each day? If I am running head first in trying to break down a brick wall then I need to stop and see to it that my relationship with Him is right. After that, it is easier to “accept the things I cannot change.” Remind me, Lord, to look inside for changes. Help me to see what needs changing in me. Show me where You would have me serve. I pray for willingness to be who you would have me be. Amen.
