Loving my class in Corporate Law and Governance! Learning all about incorporation and the checks of power within companies, and how those checks differ between countries. So cool, right?! Well, I think it is :) Have met law students from all around the world (where, outside of the U.S., you rarely need to pay for an undergraduate degree before being your legal studies; my wallet is weeping in envy). Yesterday, attended a sobering chat on the struggle to balance human rights with security in our new global age with technology and fear of terrorism by the engaging Professor Gearty. Then, the audience was invited to a reception. If you thought free food was a good way to get students attention, try free wine! Have been wandering through the beautiful parks of the city- St. James, Hyde Park, the Embankment, and Temple Place. Even in the rain, the incredible greenery and refreshing peace within such a metropolitan hub is stunning and does wonders for the soul. Going up in the London Eye and on a Pub Walk on the South Bank this evening! Stay tuned for many pictures... :)
