Helps me to fine tune their programmes, and tbh I can pick up the signs of impending overreaching better reading TPeaks reports than looking at power meter files. In 1995 when Ewan MacMaster was headed to World Champs in Colombia he would call me first thing in the morning to share his resting HR and quality of sleep, at midday to discuss his training ride and then we would talk in the evening to discuss the plan that evolved into a 50 page document before he left! #coachingismorethanwritingprogrammes
