Loving the cooler temps here in Independence, Mo. We have had spotty rain showers from time to time but mostly cloudy. What a wonderful relief from the hot summer days. We are cherishing every last minute we have here but so excited to be home with family and the mountains. Going on a senior mission helps you feel younger and wow the great experiences you have!!!!!! We have had such spiritual highs and met so many forever friends please decide to go on a mission in your senior years. The deeper understanding and appreciation of the gospel is wonderful and the memories are so worth the time and sacrifice it takes to go. These sweet young sisters we serve with every day amaze us with their mature leadership ability. They are so far ahead of us we just stare in awe. And a fun extra side note (the feeling younger part) is they treat us as peers and equals! We can have great giggle times but also such spiritual conversations!!!! Life is too short to miss the good stuff! Love one another and love THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!
