Low self esteem? Is it any wonder when all have sinned and FALLEN - TopicsExpress

Low self esteem? Is it any wonder when all have sinned and FALLEN short of the glory of God! Since all have fallen short of this glory, every person must do something to prop up or self glorify. This is why we have so many self help books and why so many people are seemingly so ambitious. They are attempting to establish their own glory. Ironically, those who are not so adept and gifted and/or fortunate to find much success in educational degrees, wealth, career, status among peers and etc find themselves on the more short end of the human spectrum of glory so that they are forced to find a glory outside of themselves. Those who have much intellect, talents, good looks, rich inheritances and etc unfortunately, seek out their glory in these. But God has cast done such foolishness in establishing men in the glory of Christ as they humble themselves of all glory and glory seeking in self. 1 Corinthians 1: 18For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written, “I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE.” 20Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; 23but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, 24but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. How hard it is for he rich to enter the kingdom of God, for they glory therein. Here, rich does not merely equate to material wealth but to anything in self and the world which a person may hold to as his own glory. This can be good looks, job titles, degrees, seniority, powerful positions and authority over others and much more. God however gives grace to the humble and being humble means losing all of these. 26For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; 27but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, 28and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, 29so that no man may boast before God. 30But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, 31so that, just as it is written, “LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.” Low self esteem can be said the realization of the lack of ones own glory from God. We should not lose hope in this revelation but instead turn to the Lord as our hope in glory. Rest in Him and you shall soon enough be filled with glory in Him. It is ironic and unnatural for the carnal man but the way to life is to die to self because the blessed life is in the giving and certainly not in the receiving. Takers take and are never satisfied but givers give and find an abundance in Him. I pray the Lord bless these spiritual words for the health of the souls of all who do read. Hosanna, Lord Jesus. Bring revelation of life and healing to the souls of the saints.
