Loyal Fans, you may have noticed our cover picture, our profile pic, or all of the posts coming from players over the past couple of weeks and especially this weekend. And as much as we wish this wasnt the case, it is indeed related to some very sad news. Our very own Zach “Cuddles” Arnold left this world early this morning. A sudden and formerly unknown medical condition snuck up on him a couple of weeks ago, and he was unable to recover. Many of you will remember him as the ref or one of the anchor players from countless ComedySportz shows, or as the Commissioner of Improv Arena. Zach has been a player on our roster since joining us in 2007. He has been an amazingly talented performer, a teacher, a behind-the-scenes organizer, director of our Improv Arena show, and Assistant Artistic Director of the major league ComedySportz Richmond troupe. But on top of that, and most importantly, he was our friend and was loved tremendously. He cared deeply not only about the art of improv, but about everyone that surrounded him in this pursuit. He would literally give you the shirt off his back – he actually did. He had all of our backs. He was the best of what we strive for in our ComedySportz family. We celebrate the time we had with Zach, and are so grateful for all we learned from him over the years. We will be remembering him through joyous stories, hilarious pictures and the warmest of recollections of all he brought to our lives. Please join us in honoring his memory by actively bringing laughter and love to everyone around you. Our love, support and deepest sympathy to Zach’s family at this time.
