Loyolas Public Interest Law Reporter presents Senate Bill 16 and Education Funding in Illinois This one-day symposium and workshop will explore the current state of public education funding in Illinois and thoroughly examine the direction reformers have moved to better provide all Illinois students with an equal education. Speakers will address the regulatory and legislative framework of the current public funding scheme and the proposed changes that would occur under Senate Bill 16. The Symposium will also explore the legislative measures adopted in other states to reform education funding and the role public interest lawyers may assume to help enact such measures through litigation.
