Lt. Murphy posted earlier about the importance of citizens being vigilant and helping making this community safe because we cant do it without your help. The following is our Vision Statement: -The Norwood Police Department will be a model police agency that is a leader in the county and state. The Norwood Police Department will cultivate professional development at all levels giving officers the necessary knowledge to excel at their jobs. We recognize the value of each employee and will reward their contribution. The Norwood Police Department will have officers who think of Norwood as their community and work to make it as safe as possible. We will work to engage the citizens of Norwood to become involved in keeping their community safe by seeking their input and suggestions every chance we get. United in teamwork, we will strive to make this Department a world class law enforcement agency.-- Notice the fifth statement where it states that we will engage the citizens. There is always room for improvement but this is something we work hard to do. Your input is always welcome because ultimately we answer to you!!!
