Lucas Oil is in Jalopy Jam Ups Corner and wants to see it flourish and succeed like all of us. Matt Irvine from Lucas Oil Products Canada asked to post his well wishes for 2015 to all of you. Once again thank you to Lucas Oil for believing in us and supporting The Jalopy Jam Up. This message has been Jam Up Approved! A message from Matt Irvine... I wanted to reach out and say I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! Things are going very well for Lucas Oil Products Canada and for myself personally. I am sure that a big part of our success is the people we have formed relationships with. As I look back on this year with a critical eye to try and chalk up my wins and losses into columns I am blown away by how the wins outnumber the losses and I can relate all of those to people! Every time I do a show open to the public I am inundated with stories about how our products saved people! Too many stories to count about down on their luck individuals having what they thought was a catastrophic failure with their vehicle and our products getting them through and on to a more stable and prosperous time. That is a pretty cool thing to be a part of. I consider myself really fortunate to represent such a great product line. I can say that Lucas Oil’s real strength is our people. From the top down Lucas Oil has some of the most honest, hard working and passionate people I have ever had the opportunity to work with. The car hobby has it’s fair share of great people as well. I feel like a light was turned on for me when I climbed onto my Road Glide and made my way in the pouring rain just north of Durham Ontario to the Jalopy Jam Up. The first person I spoke to was Jay Tyrrell one of the organizers of the Jalopy Jam Up and my long time legal counsel. Jay and I have become friends over the course of the last couple of decades and I can say without a doubt I feel as if I have known Jay all of my life. Like minded and around the same age we both also possess a bent sense of humor. I also got to spend time with an old friend who brought the event to my attention, John from the Crows Nest. John is a great guy who loves life, is a hell of a visionary and a wonderful coiffure and has beautiful soft hands. What can you say about the music? The bands, I loved them! The only thing I could have asked for was for them to keep on playing! The cars, the people and the great vibe of the event made it an unexpectedly incredible event for me despite all of the rain. It is moments like the Jalopy Jam Up that I feel the most fortunate. Being the manufacturers rep for Lucas Oil Products Canada has afforded me so many of these opportunities and I have to remember to make the most of them and always be humble and thankful for what I have been blessed with. I hope everyone out there is able to look back and realize what is special in their life and what they should be thankful for and humble about.
