Lucky, the center of attention! Lucky is now enjoying being the center of attention in our daily beach walks. It is such a change from her having to chase the other dogs, to now them constantly chasing her. Lucky seems to be getting more and more movement in her legs. She is able to pull one of her legs up under her in a normal position now. I am working on trying to help her stand and put weight on the leg. It is a slow process. We are still battling with the raw sores on her one leg and foot, that she puts the most weight on when she drags herself around. We have gone back to having a gauze bandage, soaked in a special ointment, on her one leg all the time and a bootie on her other foot. She has decided she likes sleeping in our closet, so we have been allowing her to stay in at night and we are working on the potty training. We are still looking for a forever home for this sweet courageous girl!
