Lucozade Powerleague Paisley Press Centre: Saturday Premiership Cash League *** LYONCROSS Vs TODHOLM *** John McKellar put in an outstanding performance today. His team will be thanking him for his efforts as he led his team to victory. Lyoncross are yet to win a game this season. They will be hoping for a better effort next week to get their season going again! Todholm won the match with a small margin; the game was a tight affair but contested very well from both teams. *** PINK CIGARS Vs THE CITY *** Oooops!!! A very, title deciding, slip up from Brian’s team today. A win today would have kept them at the top of the table with the Beaches 3 points trailing (and 1 game in hand). Robbie of the City controlled much of the game for his team and picked up man of the match for his display. Pink Cigars will be thinking about this for days to come, how they threw away a crucial 3 points. Whereas the City will be over the moon with winning the match with just the 1 goal separating the teams! Doesn’t matter if it’s an inch or a mile, winnings winning’s boys! *** HONKEYS Vs NEW CO *** A surprise walk over from Jim’s New Co today. Many thought Honkeys would come out trumps in this affair but it was the underdogs who had the more aggression and determination to win the game! Dylan from New Co put in a star performance to see his side to victory today. Honkey’s will be kicking themselves with this poor display, a win today would have seen them creep up the table to just 1 point behind The City! *** THE BEACHES Vs BOSMAN UTD ** Bosman won this match with great ease.. sorry typo.. Beaches won this match with great ease. There is no sugar coating this one. Kevin McGill was involved in everything for the Beaches today! Phone the National Accident Helpline lads ‘cause this was a thumping! It’s not all bad though, they did score 4 goals thanks to a solid performance from Stevie Jack! *** HUNTER THRILLS Vs STRASBOURG *** Hunter Thrills kept their winning streak intact with this comfortable victory today. Cammy’s side started strong but withered away towards the end. The scoreline does not reflect the efforts of Strasbourg but it does reflect their finishing! Hunter Thrills were not up to their best this morning, slack in a lot of areas and a breakdown in communication frequently throughout the match. Nonetheless the 3 points still went to Allen’s side, captained by Ricky Orr today as Allen recovers from injury.
