Lucy Abel Smith, founder of the Transylvanian Book Festival has been invited to be a guest lecturer on 14 May at the Transylvanian Festival in London. Titled Every Turn of the Road Offers Fresh Surprises, Lucy will talk about Transylvania as the long-time buffer state between Christian and Turk, the Western and Eastern Churches, the font of inspiration for literature, both foreign and home-grown, music, fine architecture and altarpieces and the extraordinary mixture of communities, making this one of the most interesting countries of Europe in our time. At the Romanian Cultural Centre in London from 2-3pm, tickets cost £25.00 (includes tea/coffee)
