Lucy loves country music. Daddy hates country music. Today, Lucy danced and asked daddy to turn up Stone Temple Pilots in the car. Daddy smiled ear to ear. Lucy smiled bigger. My heart leaped watching something so insignificant make the two people; I love the most, happy. On our way to a pulmonary checkup. Last night the power went out. It was the first time since Lucy came home that we didnt have to pack up everything and rush to electricity or hurry to hook up a generator. The only equipment Lucy has left has back up batteries. Felt good. Felt normal.
