Luk 6:46-49 And why call ye me, Lord! Lord! and not do the things that I say? Every one coming unto me, and hearkening unto my words, and doing them, I will suggest to you, whom he is like: He is like unto a man building a house, who digged, and deepened, and laid a foundation upon the rock, - and, a flood, coming, the stream burst against that house, and was not strong enough to shake it, because it had been, well, built. But, he that hath heard and not done, is like unto a man having built a house upon the earth, without a foundation, - against which the stream burst, and, straightway, it fell in; and it came to pass, that, the crash of that house, was, great. Joh 6:27 Be working, not for the food that perisheth, but for the food that endureth unto life age-abiding, - which, the Son of Man, unto you, will give; for upon, the same, hath the Father, even God, set his seal. Mat 4:4 But, he, answering, said, It is written, - Not on bread alone, shall man live, but on every declaration coming forth through the mouth of God. Joh 6:51 I, am the living bread, which, out of heaven, came down: If one eat of this bread, he shall live unto times age-abiding; and, the bread, moreover, which, I, will give, is, my flesh - for the worlds life. Joh 6:63 The spirit, it is, that giveth life, - the flesh, profiteth, nothing: The declarations which, I, have spoken unto you, are, spirit, and, are, life. Joh 1:14 And, the Word, became, flesh, and pitched his tent among us, and we gazed upon his glory, - a glory, as an Only-begotten from his Father. Full of favour and truth. What is it He would have us to do, as seen in tHis parable what He says, He has likened our works unto building a house, the house understood in further study is that we become the dwelling or temple for His Spirit. Again in John 6:27 He instructs us to work or do what is needed to gain life age abiding, that is to gather food for life. In Mat 4 He instructs Satan to this same understanding, describing the path of true life, gained not by feeding our flesh, but by feeding the spirit, that food being the Word of God… Continuing in Joh 6 we discover tHis metaphor of food, as He describes His flesh to be the food or the bread of life He desires us to eat to gain life; only later revealing in 6:63, the flesh profits nothing, this revealing His flesh symbolic of His Word, again clearly given in John 1:14. Many miss this admonition to work, to study for deeper understanding in His Word, even as many declare that life is to be gained through ritual partaking of symbolism, later revealed by bread and wine, a symbol of flesh and blood, as communion with Him, which should be understood as the communion given in Rev 3:20, the Spirit of His Word. Rev 3:20 Lo! I am standing at the door, and knocking; if anyone shall hearken unto my voice, and open the door, I will come in unto him, and will sup with him, and, he, with, me. This is the work we are given to do, believe on the Word of God, Christ, not His flesh, but The Spirit in the man, laying the deep foundation to support His dwelling in us, the cleansing of us, His temple. This bringing about the promise, tHis manifested kingdom of kings and priests, that which can only occur as seen through the Testament of symbolism in the physical temple, the Spirit of Life, Christ, manifest in us as we are brought in to His house, defined in the stages of cleansing, from without, to the outer court, to the inner court, and finally the Holy of Holies, His divine presence, as He will be ALL in all.
