Luke 12:27-31 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, - TopicsExpress

Luke 12:27-31 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. As believers in Christ, our focus is to seek the kingdom of God above all else. On a daily basis, we are confronted with a barrage of attacks, circumstances, and trials that are bent on distracting us from this purpose. Do not lose sight of how precious you are to God. He has no plans on abandoning you. Also, it is made clear in this passage that “the nations of the world” are seeking after how to provide for themselves. It is our call as Christians to place on display a different kind of living; lives that are infused with faith and trust in God for our provision. In this way, we become a witness of God’s goodness and faithfulness to the nations. Let your heart be set first on the kingdom of God.
