Luke 15:8-10 “Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one of them, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search thoroughly until she finds it? Then when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.” When I was a kid, I remember searching endlessly for a certain toy matchbox car whenever I lost it. Everything else stopped, and finding that car was the center of all my efforts. In order to understand, we have to think about people in terms of who they are to God. God created us, and it is only through His life-giving gifts that we pro-create. People are Gods treasured possession, and He is constantly reaching out to His treasures. Some want to be found by Him, and some dont. Be sure though, when someone is found and runs to God in Christ Jesus - there is great celebration.
