Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? Two men walking on the road to Emmaus, encountered what turned to out to be a resurrected Jesus Christ. The LORD began to talk with them about the Scriptures, and later their eyes were opened and they realized that He was The LORD. This proclamation of the searing effect of The WORD of God is a true testimony of the powerful combination of His WORD coupled with genuine fellowship with The LORD. It is during times in which we come close to Him, possibly unknowingly, that The WORD of God comes off the page and into our hearts. When Scripture goes from lesson to life, we too will experience, like these men on the road to Emmaus, Spiritual Heart Burn. Without the fellowship with The LORD Jesus, His WORD may be reduced to ancient tales of days gone by, when it is meant to be a very present help in times of trouble (Psalms 46:1). LORD, I love YOUR WORD. I desire to fellowship with YOU so that my eyes maybe open and my heart may burn with, Thus saith The LORD. God Bless.
