Luke 7:22-23 NIV So he replied to the messengers, Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. (23) Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me. John the baptizer wanted to know if Jesus was the Messiah, the One to come – sent from God. Jesus’ reply was simple: tell him what you have seen and heard. Jesus’ testimony came with power: the blind seeing, the deaf hearing and the poor having hope beyond their wildest dreams. This message and power of Jesus is still causing people to see and hear the truth and realize the awesome inheritance they have in Jesus Christ. Blessed is he who doesn’t stumble on account of Jesus. Blessed is the person who’s presumption doesn’t allow him to disbelieve that Jesus is the Messiah, the Holy One from God. Those who have not realized life is in Jesus, but instead have put their faith in a man-made organization, rituals or some other man-made theology that is not in the Bible are stumbling. Those who find Jesus’ message offensive or have not believed in the Son of Man are stumbling. But there is hope! You don’t have to stumble! You can make level paths for your feet and establish your faith solely in Jesus! Only accept what the Bible declares, the message of truth and grace. You can leave all confusion behind and be born-again! You will be blessed!
