Lullaby was barking at the dining room window and so I went to see what was up. Cats Buddy & Vader were sitting out on the porch while a male possum of about 15 pounds waddled over to get a drink from the watering trough. I held Lullaby so that she wouldnt be quite so crazy and watched the possum get his drink. I called Will to come see too. It kind of reminded me of Joey and old times. After it got its drink it waddled over and came up slowly onto the porch approaching Buddy - who just sat there on his belly watching the approach as though unphased by it. The possum eased up slowly and was just about to touch nose to nose with Buddy when Buddy decided that hed had enough. Without hardly leaving his spot, he unleashed a quick pop, pop, pop, pop onto the possums cheek and the possum slowly backed up and went around to check for food elsewhere on the porch. Finding none there, he left and disappeared under one of the cars in the driveway. There was another food bin that hed probably helped himself to.
