Lunch Announcements Tuesday, September 10, 2013 Thursday night, September 12th, will be an important informational night at Carver Middle School. We will have our curriculum night from 6:00pm-7:00pm and our Title 1 Annual Parent Meeting from 7:00-8:00pm. We will also have the book fair open from 5:30-7:00pm, and there will be a baseball booster club meeting to all 7th and 8th graders interested in playing baseball in the spring at 5:30pm. Please speak to your parents about attending this important evening at Carver. Check out the cool CMS hoodies that PTO has for sale! They are hanging in the media center windows. Media Center Students don’t forget about the book fair going on now through Friday, Sept. 13th! If you purchase more than $5.00 worth of books, you can enter to win a free book or gift bag. We will have family night on Thursday the 12th from 5:30-7:00. This Week’s Tutoring Schedule Math—Today (Tuesday) Science—Thursday (Sept. 12) Club News Partnership for Success will have their first meeting on tomorrow, September 11th at 2:30. If you wish to fill out an application, look for forms located on each hall where announcements are posted or see Mrs. Smith in room 811. You will need to have a ride home at 3:30. You can look forward to fun, food, and meeting new friends. Any FFA member interested in entering a project into the Georgia National Fair needs to stay after school today, Sept. 10th until 3:45. There will be a BETA Club meeting Tuesday, Sept. 17th from 2:30-3:15 in the Media Center. All members are encouraged to attend. Please make arrangements for someone to pick you up after the meeting. There will be a “Back to School” dance sponsored by CMS Jr. BETA Club on Thursday, September 19th from 2:45-4:45 in the gym. The cost of the dance is $5.00 and includes a slice of pizza and a drink. If you plan to attend, please make arrangements for someone to pick you up after the dance. Sports News Softball game scheduled for today has been cancelled. There will be a baseball parent/booster meeting Thursday, Sept. 12th at 5:30 (right before Curriculum Night) in the cafeteria. This is open to all parents of players interested in playing baseball next spring. If you have any questions, please see Coach Dryer in room 711 at the end of the day.
