Lunch break update: they tried taking Jerry off of the ventilator but, he wasnt ready yet. They will try again tomorrow. How do they know that he wasnt ready? I dont know the criteria that they use, but each brain is unique, each case is unique, and you have to use the data to tell you what to do next. They dont want to take him off of the ventilator, find out that he cannot breathe on his own and then have to put them back on it again. So putting him back in an induced coma safeguards against this. From sister-in-law
