Lunch time. Ellies hungry, moms stealing a nap while the boys are milk drunk. Need to put together a quick, quiet lunch without raising the house. Chicken nuggets and ketchup with pear and strawberry yogurt on the side. Dads got this. Minutes pass, poke my head over the counter to see Ellie taking a huge bite of pear with ketchup... Remnants of chicken nuggets dipped in yogurt on the plate. Wha... I... Uh... Whatever. Damn she looks happy enough that I might even try it. Thats if our house is still standing... Why does this all feel like the buildup to a bad Hollywood end-of-days blockbuster? The scenes with the Jones family antics seem boring, but they provide the quaint homegrown comedy that tethers the viewers to the story in between quick cuts to government officials ignoring the heart felt pleas of rogue scientists that have stumbled upon a link between the earthquakes and a new deep sea rift portal off of Los Angeles harbor. Pacific Rim 2. July 4th. Scramble the Jaegers, the Kaiju are back! Damn I hope Charlie Day will autograph a motivation poster for me... Im gonna clean a plate of pears and ketchup now.
