Lunch today: BBQ chicken (leftovers from Matt grilling yesterday) - TopicsExpress

Lunch today: BBQ chicken (leftovers from Matt grilling yesterday) and cucumber, tomato, and carrot salad with blue cheese dressing. Dont think Ill be eating any other carbs than those in vegetables for the rest of the day after eating way too much cereal this morning AND 4 large slices of Grimaldis pizza last night (SO good!). Dont make the mistake of adding unnecessary calories from carbs/sugar in the condiments that you use. When I was in the BBQ sauce aisle yesterday at HEB I noticed how bad some of them are. The Kraft one that Matt likes has high fructose corn syrup as the FIRST ingredient! I put it back on the shelf and decided to use instead the Stubbs we had at home (which has no HFCS). BBQ sauces do contain carbs/sugar (Stubbs has about 6g carb/4g sugar in 2 Tbsp) and that can really add up if you like to use a good bit. Ketchup is another example of this: 1 Tbsp has 4g carb/4g sugar. Its ok to use, but you cant overdo it (which is easy to do). Examples of condiments that you do not have to worry about are mustard and Franks red hot. Other hot sauces are usually ok too. Wing sauces from restaurants are usually high in carb/sugar, but if youre eating wings its likely a cheat meal anyway. Mayo is of course a fat source so you would just count it as one of your fat servings. Always read your labels--- u never know whats hiding in your food! Let me know if you have questions on any other condiments that you typically eat 🙋☺️
