The view is superb & we were thrilled to have booked this room. We stayed for 3 nights & staff/service were great. Room was decent size, bathroom was small but clean & sufficient. January weather was cold & room didnt have heater. However, thick mink blankets were provided so we slept ok throughout the night. Room felt a bit damp but no big deal. Restaurant had great food & price is quite reasonable. Wifi isnt great but functional in room...hey, its India so dont expect super high speed. We arrived by train & was picked up by a young teenager. His name was Lalit, he was 16 & worked for this guesthouse. He ended up being our tour guide for the next 2 days, which was great as we got to see the real Varanasi from a young individuals perspective. He spoke English well & showed us to his familys textile shop where we picked up some great shawls for souvenirs. Overall, room had very charming decor, good value for its location & view of Ganges River. Great place to stay if you are visiting Varanasi.
