Luzerne County Community College will hold student government elections on Tuesday, April 22; Wednesday, April 23; and Thursday, April 24. Positions available for the 2014-2015 school year are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sophomore Representative, Freshman Representative, and Part-Time Student Representative. Each person seeking office must obtain the signatures of 50 LCCC students to apply for an SGA position. Requirements for each position are listed in the Student Government Constitution which is in the Student Handbook on pages 73-77. Packets are available at the Student Life Office on the second floor of the Campus Center from Monday, March 17 through Friday, April 11. Campaigning begins on Monday, April 14 and a Meet the Candidates Forum will be held on Tuesday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Campus Center Rotunda. During this event, the candidates will present their platforms to interested students. Refreshments will be served.
