Lweza united FC player dies Footballer, Frank Lutalo a.k.a Majja, a striker for newly promoted super league side, Lweza Fc has died. Lutalo, 23, suffered a blood clot in the brain after collusion in training at Uganda Clays sports grounds in Kajjansi. He was admitted at the national referral hospital in Mulago where he pronounced dead after 2 days. He has previously featured for Katale football club now Artland Fc in the Wakiso first division and the FUFA Big league. Rest in Peace Frank Lutalo. …………. TZ’S Young Africans kicked out of 2014 CECAFA Tanzanian league champions Young Africans have been locked out of the 2014 CECAFA Kagame Club Championships which start on Friday in Kigali, Rwanda. Nicholas Musonye, the Secretary General of CECAFA, told AfricanFootball on Wednesday that they had decided to keep Young Africans out because the Tanzanian side planned to field a B side at the tournament. “All other champions from the region are bringing their top teams and for Young Africans to opt to field a second team would be an insult,” he said. He further explained that they had replaced Young Africans with Azam FC. Last year Young Africans also skipped the tournament in Darfur, Sudan, citing security concerns. ………….. Oscar Pistorius trial resumes today The murder trial of South African athlete Oscar Pistorius has resumed for the closing arguments after months of courtroom evidence closely followed by domestic and world media. Prosecutor Gerrie Nel is the first to make his concluding comments. The defence is due to follow on Friday. Mr Pistorius denies murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. He says he mistook her for an intruder, but the prosecution says he deliberately shot her after a row. In a letter published in the Herald newspaper in Zimbabwe, Gorowa said he had not been paid for seven months. He also said he is owed a bonus payment for taking Zimbabwe to the semi-finals of the African Nations Championship earlier this year. The former international replaced German Klaus Dieter Pagels last July.
