Lyn and went to the pre-admission assessment yesterday all of 4 hrs. Well it was no holds barred we got the no flowers stuff on what was going to happen. Drips and canulas in he neck and both hands a blood pressure canula in the inner left wrist, epidural in the middle of my back etc, happy little ol me the pin cushon. Well according the clinical nurse this is the last change to get the cancer albeit a good chance by all accounts the surgeon is one of the best at this 10 hr operation. Into hospital on the 30th June with surgery on the 1st July the 14 days in ICU then home and absolutly no lifting at all, am not even allowed to do the ironing. At home for 4 to 6 mths is not what i am looking for but hopefully i will be back before then, my new GM has said that we will be able to work out a return to program, great to have good bosses and fellow staff support both from the local police and corrections staff, more to come later, cheers Trev W
