Lynn posted on our wall: I have a 4th grade class of 16 kids (Im a student teacher) I would love to do stations or groups but this class cannot work together. I just had a disastrous lesson with them in groups of 3 and 4 in the best pairings possible. Im going to try partners to see if that works out any better. We are using the Journeys curriculum. Any ideas on how to engage the class without groups/stations and also suggestions for handling 2 VERY disrespectful students without relying on the principal would be so incredibly appreciated. I dont want to appear powerless in the classroom by resorting to the principal all the time. Thanks!
