Lynne’s Weight Loss Challenge: Tuesday- So my first actual day - TopicsExpress

Lynne’s Weight Loss Challenge: Tuesday- So my first actual day of the Robard diet! I brought my packed lunch pail and was ready to go. I started my day with weighing in: Up 2 pounds from one meal of JUNK!! AHHH!! I was so mad and disappointed in myself for doing that “last supper”! I was internally yelling at myself when I got off the scale! But had to get my day going! Here is how I split my meals: 7am-meal replacement shake – vanilla, 10am- powder shake – chocolate, 11:30am- 1 jello and 1 replacement shake mint chocolate, 2:30pm- 1 jello, 5pm-soup with pepper, 1 jello, 6:30pm- powder jello – chocolate, 8pm-2 popsicles. I also drank 3- 32oz jugs of water and chopped on gum and ice all day long. Things I learned: 1) I was never actually hungry. The supplements seemed to keep me full all day long and actually I still had one meal replacement left at the end of the day. 2) I liked the flavor of all of the supplements. I did add pepper to the soup and it did have a little after taste, unlike the other supplements but probably from the pepper I added. 3) I was a bigger fan of having the powder in a pudding/mousse form then the shake form (mostly for a different consistency then liquid.) 4) I craved chewing on something!!!! Thank goodness I had ice and gum available most of the day. This feeling was overwhelming throughout my day though. So this was something tough for me. 5) Every hour it seemed like I had to take a bathroom break! So, I’m pretty sure that I am well hydrated!! So, all in all, it went well the first day. I had a few moments where I really wanted to have a peanut M&M or snack on my kids’ dinner while I was preparing it but, I caught myself and refocused. My husband and I also had never realized how many food commercials are on the TV at night! It became comical that there were so many. I would think that the Food Network probably won’t be watched much in our house for the next 2 weeks!
