Lyricism is also important to the flow of worship AND revelation in Gods house and believe it or not a viable part of Christianity. Lyrics are a powerful form of Meditation. Meditation is required to disciple the soul, confront the heart and change the mind. This is how the enemy uses music. Unknowingly through lyrics, the enemy can brainwash a generation to uphold a message and conviction whose origin many times is demonic. For example, the ABCs were placed to a lyric and given music and is the most common way every body learns phonics, words, spelling and letters. Nobody ever forgets the ABC songs once they learn it. The heart has always opened and responded to music, so we also need Musical Masters or Lyricists that can take the heart of God or fundamentals of scripture and place them in song to become the anthem of our fidelity to the Lord!!! Chenaniah was a MASTER OF SONG or a Teacher of Lyrics and writer of music. Songs in this way can also be a tool of sanctification, as long as its contents are scriptural and sing the heart into subjection! 1 Chronicles 15:27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.
