M. Henry George Morris Henry George, 78, of Muscle Shoals, died Sunday, July 14, 2013. Visitation will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home on July 16, at 1 p.m. and services will be held at Colbert Memorial Chapel on July 16, at 3 p.m. He was born to the late Pattie Thelma Bigbee and Morris Henry George, Oct. 19, 1934, in Memphis, Tenn. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Lynch George, in 1957, and later relocated to Muscle Shoals. Henry graduated from Memphis Technical High School and worked his way up the ladder into becoming Vice President of Sales for Bigbee Steel Buildings. He loved fishing with his son, Mark, Dwayne Rumble, Corey Rumble, Jon Simpson and Clint Bigbee. He loved his dog, Dudley George. He was a generous, warm and loving soul whom cared for the less fortunate, such as donating to feed an impoverished Mexican family for a month when his heart was touched while vacationing in Mexico. He was a veteran of the United States Army and loved his country. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon George, who cared for him during his waning years; his daughter, Angela Winter Sandusky (husband, Mark Sandusky); his son and best friend, Mark Henry George (wife, Elizabeth George); his grandson, Henry Whitman George (who was named after him); his granddaughter, Elena Catherine George; his brother, John Logan George; his brother, Frank George; his sister, Carolyn Ruth Jumper (recently deceased); his sister, Dinah George; and his niece, Tracy Ellen Roach. Pallbearers will be Mark George, Mark Sandusky, Carl Terry, Andy Terry, Clint Bigbee and Sonny King. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Rumble, Lonnie Gaither and John Bonds. Henry is loved and will be missed and remembered.
