M.O.W - "MAN OF STEEL" (Directed by Zack Snyder) This film is thrilling from the very beginning, and answers many of the questions about the demise of Krypton that previous incarnations had left to viewer imagination. There are many subtle alterations from what most viewers would expect, having read the comic books and also from seeing the numerous generic xerographies produced through television and other media. In this adaptation, the last surviving Kryptonians (who have been floating through space in a prison ship, named Phantom Zone, for millennia), discover Earth and the identity of Kal-El. With the aid of a genetic "codex" hidden within the very cells of Kal-El, they begin a process to terraform Earth into a new Krypton. Of course, this leaves little hope for the survival of the human race. This film was fantastic, and an absolute thrill ride as five gods rise against Superman to destroy the human race. Also, the Clark Kent pseudonym, who begins working for the Daily Planet with Lois Lane in the final moments, shows a better perspective for his actions than previous films where he is portrayed as a bumbling coward. 9/10
