M2 A2 I would make sure that the cartographer included quite a few things. First would be the Paw Paw River and the Paw Paw River Valley. This is important because the river flows eastward and can point them towards the east side of the state and Lake Erie. The Paw Paw River Valley is also important because it should show that the land around the Paw Paw River can be very treacherous and marshy. Next, I would include Gull Prairie with the Kalamazoo River running through it because it sounded like they had difficulty crossing the river and other explorers would also have difficulty with this. The last important thing to include would be the Detroit River or as La Salle called it the strait that connects the Huron River to Lake Erie. I would not have thought to use blogs as a source of information or research. When I think of blogs, I tend to think of someone just writing their random thoughts or opinions on it but not necessarily having facts to back up these things. This blog showed that blogs can be something to use for information/research but the author must be researched and considered whether he/she would be an expert in the field being researched.
