MA JINNAH AND TWO NATION THEORY. Did MA Jinnah dump the two nation theory when he realised that Pakistan had less number of Muslims than the India he had left behind? Is it a lesson for the common man that RELIGION is used by everyone as a POLITICAL CONDOM to serve their personal ambitions and desires? Shouldnt everyone be wary of the misuse of religion by those who swear by it? Religion is a matter of personal faith and a private affair. Unfortunately, religion and secularism are the two most misused terms in South Asia. Says Nadeem F Paracha in his article The Pakistan Ideology: History of Grand Concoction in a Pakistani daily The Dawn : In his August 11 speech, Jinnah clearly declared that in Pakistan the state will have nothing to do with matters of the faith and Pakistan was supposed to become a democratic Muslim-majority nation state. dawn/news/1038961 He went on to add: ‘ … you will find that in course of time (in Pakistan) Hindus would cease to be Hindus and Muslims would cease to be Muslims; not in the religious sense, because that is the personal faith of each individual, but in the political sense as citizens of the State.’ vimeo/73367570
