MACHALI - Weve had a few people shocked at the alleged petitioning of tiger man Valmik Thapar in regard to stopping feeding Machali. Firstly, Machili lost her K9s from a fight with a crocodile. That doesnt mean she must be left to die. Aid was given to her immediately in fact. She has been one of the photographed tigers in India, earning an astonishing $800 million approximately in tourism. It was decided to provide food for Machili as she is such a wonder tigress, mother, and basically we humans made her a star. When the decision was made to feed her, then that should have been forever. However, when Cee4life announced that it has been alleged that Valmik Thapar is the man who is petitioning to stop feeding her, well lets say we coped a bit of abuse from Thapar fans. Whom I myself am one too. But after we found out the facts, it was a terrible thing to know they would even think about stopping her food. So we did a little searching to see if in fact Mr Thapar has mentioned his dislike of feeding Machali before, and yes we found it. Wildlife expert Valmik Thapar, who learnt of the Ranthambhore officials attempts at feeding Machhli artificially when they wrote to him recently to point out that the tigress had not touched her bait, admonished them for gross interference in the natural processes. In his response to the officials, Thapar argued that the department had erred in not only keeping the aged animal on artificial feeding mechanism but also in letting her thrive when some other healthy tigress could have replaced her in the territory it occupies in the heart of the sanctuary. There could have been many more cubs in the area if a healthy, young tigress was allowed to claim the territory naturally, he argued. Your answer Mr Thapar is that she is loved, it was decided a long time ago to feed her and aid her. That is a decision that was made forever, or should have been. Leave her continue, leave her to be fed, why not give her a bauma like Charger. Anything but petitioining for starvation....
