MACKEY Adopted! Indulge us, we took a lot of photos today for one event. You see, we had a party today for Mackey in celebration of his adoption. He has been with us four years, now seven years old. Yes, four years! No, that is not the norm, but we never give up – and neither did Mackey. He was one of 26 animals we helped rescue from a hoarder in August 2010. We took 22 cats and four dogs into our adoption program that day – more than we expected and planned. Mackey has patiently waited his turn. Today was his day. He is now at home with his new mom, one of our own who knew from the moment she first met him as a member of the public, and it was confirmed after she started volunteering with us, that he was special – that he was destined to be her feline companion. Mackey is now enjoying all the things every precious fur-baby should!
