MAGHABERRY NEWS. Today at approximately 16.45 I witnessed a child miss death by about six to eight feet. That child of about four to five years old accompanied by two other children who were not much older were waiting at the side of the pavement close to the cross roads. For reasons not known to me the young lad decided to run across the road with the traffic traveling at its normal rate for that time of day. It was the immediate reaction of the driver that stopped the car short and saved the youngster from certain death. Why was a toddler allowed out supervised by children not much older. The mind boggles.
