MAINTAIN YOUR LANE In a single carriageway, you dont swerve - TopicsExpress

MAINTAIN YOUR LANE In a single carriageway, you dont swerve indiscriminately between lanes. Youre either on the left or right lane. When you dare drive through the left lane when youre suppose to be at the right lane, it means you have committed an offence that attracts fine and can also bring about accident. Do you know that this is also applicable to our lives? Do you maintain your lane in your Christian journey, relationship and daily living? Maintaining your lane in your christian journey is focusing on Christ, not tossed to and fro, carried about with every wind of doctrines (Eph.4:14). It also mean being in this world and yet not of the world (Rom.12:2). If you as a christian have one way or the other compromised your stand for a reason or the other, this is not to judge you but to remind you that youre no more on your lane, youre in other peoples lane which is dangerous for you as it will make you vulnerable to all kind of unpalatable situations. Comparing and wanting to have your relationship like some other people which you dont know the silent, unannounced challenges theyre going through is driving on the wrong lane. There is no perfect relationship, everyone go through one peculiar thing they dont tell people or they have their way of resolving issues that you dont know. So, wanting to be like them is calling for troubles you might not be able to handle. When you as a woman do not reference your husband, you are not maintaining the lane of respect and submission God placed you in as found in Eph. 5:23 and as a man you dont act as the head of that home in love, transparency, cleaving, care and so on, youre simply out of your lane of being the head of your wife (Eph.5:23). Maintaining your lane as parents is to teach your children in the way of the Lord (Prov.22:6), is to acknowledge them as Gods heritage (Psalm 127:3) and obeying them is also maintaining your lane as children. To maintain your lane requires you to drive with focus, control the gears, steering, using the side and rear mirrors, and also your horn. I admonish you this morning to focus on your walk with God and your partner, control your gears by not following the world to do things in their way, in knowing when to appreciate your partner, cautioning your words especially when angry, ask God to take the wheel and control your steering, use your side and rear mirrors to check where youre coming from to appreciate God and also to know what may want to distract you and dont forget to press the horn for those that want to stand as obstacle, to those that come to tell you one thing or the other about your partner especially in the negative way, press the horn for them to cross to the other lane and let you go smoothly. Maintain your lane and your journey will be smooth! Are you on your lane? Confession: God is in Charge Prayer: I receive grace to be focus, I level up every problem thats distracting by the power in the blood of Jesus. Oluwatoyin Adebowale KEY ©2014
