MAJOR UPDATE/REVISION finally completed on rehomingmegaesophagusdogs website. Take a look at the News page to read about Ezzo, one of Cici Martinezs ME babies. Then the new ME K9 Celebrities page has Laurie DePinas Kaiser and Kate Singletons Willy featured. Most incredible (and actually historical) is the 134 dogs number we can now reflect that have found us (or we have found them) and been provided ME support in some manner with many requiring extensive work to ensure the dogs safety. Broken down is as follows (we do not provide the R.I.P. list on the website, but important to track since we have been helping those folks as well; those particular dogs passed away of unrelated causes to ME): Need Foster or Forever Homes - 27 On Radar-Follow Up - 19 R.I.P. - 18 Success Stories - 70 I am making a few minor tweaks due to the last few days, but everything is now in place and moving at an incredible rate of ME dogs who need support. Dont forget...whether you agree or disagree with helping to find them a home, these ME dogs and their ME owners, fosters, rescue groups, breeders, individuals, shelters, DVMs, etc also NEED ME support. The small handful of folks who have done this have been overloaded and sure could use some other volunteers to step forward, so please try to find it in your hearts to offer even with assistance providing information or links to whatever they need by email and not just on public groups. Know too that each and every one of these dogs cannot be made visible to every source because many come to us and do not want to be on a group where comments are made and they may be attacked for doing what they must. BUT they still have needed a lot of ME support for their dog and if you check the Success Stories page and look thru the matrix, you will see the great numbers reflecting many being able to stay in their home due to helping the owners find a workable schedule and protocol. I can never thank the individuals who are helping this effort enough except to say God bless each of you for caring enough to take on this piece of the ME pie. Dont forget...as we spread awareness to ME, more folks are educated (and this includes DVMs who are finding us privately) to what it is, hence more dogs are not just being pts as ME being a death sentence. But, because they also see there may be other options, we are obligated to help those as well or our ME community falls way short by picking and choosing only those dogs that make us feel comfortable and not all of them that are now appearing and need help. We now have a motto of NO ME DOG LEFT BEHIND!!! and are following thru as true to our hearts and obligation to these dogs.
