In the book In their time: The Greatest Business Leaders of the twentieth century, authors Mayo and Nohria describe Neumillers leadership as success without fanfare. His mark of greatness, they note, was that he took his identity out of the business and let his company become a hero instead of himself. Jonathan was a prince and heir apparent to the throne of his father King Saul. He was a man of war but most importantly a man with a good heart that is willing to relinquish his throne to the son of Jesse, a servant. From the first day he saw David he loved him...the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. 1 Samuel 18:1 (KJV). He was ready to die for David. This has more spiritual significance than the eye can see. He confirmed the kingship of David the day he decorated David with his princely regalia. He was the true hero but he relinquished it to David. Our utmost aim in life should be to bring out the best in men. There are hidden potentials that can only be discovered by those that are gifted in those areas. Men like Apostle Paul that was able to see the faith in Timothy, the usefulness of Onesimous, Philemon and lots of them. He raised Bishops and Apostles out of them. He raised the giant in them. Help men discover their paths in life, help them find their way to greatness, help someone find his way back to Christ...Kill that spirit of selfishness and enthrone it with selfless spirit.
