MALAGA GROUP WEATHER UPDATE Tuesday 20th January 2015: WEATHER WARNINGS ISSUED INCLUDING ORANGE ALERT FOR SNOW FOR RONDA AND ANTEQUERA FROM MIDDAY THROUGH TO THIS EVENING........Hi everyone. Its possible that this morning we start off with some sun about but with a reasonable level of cloud!!!.......However, very little time to relax as that cloud increases by midday as our next weather system moves into our north west!!!......We are expecting snow from the leading edge so if you didnt get the message yesterday then move quickly to break out the snow shoes if you are inland!!!.....In fact, if its thick enough we might just see snow fluttering in places along the coast!!!......Gasp/Horror!!!.......Just how much snow we cannot say, and at the end of the day it may be a case of you blink you miss it......on the other hand it could be a lot and it would be foolish to say it wont be much!!!.....Its a wait and see event!!!........and as we head into the evening theres a good chance we get that rain.....again!!!.....The rain could be heavy in places but its the winds that may turn into the talking point which, during the night, are to be downright draughty!!!......The rain is likely to continue as a risk through the night across the province but as we rise tomorrow morning we are in clearing mode!!!......Yes, that horrible stuff will be moving away nicely to reveal a fair day, still cloud about, but remaining very windy in places!!!......We dip back into greyness for Thursday, some sun about on the coast but rain probable later in the day inland, Friday is sunnier.....but not much sunnier......although likely to be very grey again inland!!!.....But as I write this, the coming weekend is looking mighty fine with plenty of sunshine for both Saturday and Sunday.....phew!!!......Saturday along the coast it will feel rather mild but we will drop those temperatures again Sunday Im afraid!!!.....Monday/Tuesday next week are currently looking fine but there is more inclement stuff appearing on my crystal balls and that is currently looking to come in towards the end of next week......but that, as I often say, is in weather fairy tale land and anything could happen that can, and often does, change the outlook that far ahead. As always, stay tuned and be informed!!!......Those of you inland and reading this first thing need to prepare for snow.....worst case roads could block very quickly but it should be short lived so the question is......If it does snow and if it does cause you to be cut off, albeit temporarily, do you have enough provisions, water, self contained heat (not reliant on mains supply) to see you through the night?......Have you made provisions should your home phone get cut off?.....Yes, I know, its silly to think that way. It will never snow that heavy will it!!!......Will it???.......I dont know and I cant say but do yourself a favour and prepare for the worse and the best will happen. So, go get what ever you need this morning and consider getting yourself and your family home for the afternoon......and do let friends on the coast know your expecting snow and make arrang, ents that should you not phone them at a certain time, they should try and call you and if they cant get through, they should let the Policia Local know your address......even your grid reference.....better safe than sorry I say!!!.....But, should it snow and its safe to do so, enjoy!!!......Jim Fraser for your EiALERT NETWORK!!! :)
