MAN I JUST GOT FIRED UP!! Was doing some research on a Preacher who likes to be controversial (which isnt always a bad thing), but it seems to me he enjoyed it WAAAAY to much because he preached a sermon AGAINST the use of gospel tracts!!!!! His whole (weak weak) premise was that gospel tracts were not mentioned in the Bible, and that the word publish (which is mentioned), means to make something public Id hate to stand before God after preaching a message like that! Here is the nice message I sent to this man - No where in the Bible does it say to use You-Tube Videos therefore I do not use them. (being sarcastic here) Nor should you... based on your own premise.. Why are DVDs, CDs, youtube videos, cassette tapes, web-sites NOT MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE?? What about RADIO STATIONS?? They are NOT mentioned in the Bible EITHER. What about church bulletins, church signs, or SONG BOOKS NOT mentioned either??? GASP!!! Cmon brother.....Be CONSISTANT and preach against ALL the things NOT mentioned in the Bible. Seems you enjoy it waaaaaay TOO much just being controversial. Do you use CARS to drive out and go soulwinning?? Theyre not mentioned in the BIBLE!! The Bible can be controversial of course - but this is rediculous. A lot of great preaching is done in gospel tracts (print). Jesus sermons are all recorded in print and they preach to me. All the THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of souls saved through gospel tracts though-out the years will prove you wrong and you will be privileged to meet them in heaven. As a young boy, I gave out a tract, watched a man read it and bow his head to receive Christ. Is it OK with you if he was truly saved??? I preach as well as use a tool such as a tract. If someone took all our Bibles away, and all we had left were the fragments of scripture contained in the KJV tracts lying around, youre saying you wouldnt use them?? On your publish point: The definition of publish is to make something public, to announce formally or officially, to proclaim. You have another WEAK premise here. Everyone knows one of the fastest ways to make something well known is to get it into print and vasttly distribute it. For 1/100th or less than the cost of getting a Bible in everyones hands - we can give them a gospel tract. Im trying to be nice here, but I cant help myself anymore.... You are a complete idiot to preach AGAINST the use of gospel tracts. You can stand before God for preaching this sermon. If even one soul goes to hell because you preached this silly sermon - that persons blood is on YOUR hands. Some of your preaching may be good,...I havent heard it all but this sermon gets an F.
