MAN IN THE MIDDLE: android (#isoeh) A new MITM attack DoubleDirect has recently emerged that allows a #hacker to redirect a victim’s traffic to the attackers device. Attack Vector: DoubleDirect uses #ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) redirect packets in order to change the routing tables of a host — used by routers to announce a machine of a better route for a certain destination. MAC Machines are affected too: Bright spot for #windows and #linux users: -> Windows and Linux are immune to the attack they dont accept ICMP re-direction packets that carry the malicious traffic. Affected devices: ->Latest versions of iOS, including version 8.1.1 ->Android devices(Lollipop also) ->OS X Yosemite.
