No. TCT 45/14 Requirements: • A Master’s degree in Business Management or equivalent, supported by major undergraduate studies in disciplines such as Training and Organisational Development • At least 10 years’ Senior Management experience • Previous experience in the design and initiation of a leadership or training academy or corporate university as a self-sustainable business entity is essential • Experience within a higher educational institution environment would be an added advantage Key Performance Areas: • Conceptualise, take charge of the business modelling, source funding, structure, establish and strategically manage the primarily externally focused Academy • Ensure global accreditation and commercial viability, which is pivotal to the delivery of TCT’s long-term strategic vision • Conceptualise, establish and lead an internationally accredited training academy for Transport for Cape Town (Transport Authority) • Define, promote and maintain the Academy’s education and training standards according to international quality assurance standards • Manage stakeholder partnering processes as it pertains to training offerings to ensure organised business, all sectors of civil society and stakeholders in the transport industry are part of the integrated transport solution in order to meet the objectives of TCT • Build a self-sustainable and business-orientated training entity, operating as a preferred service provider for TCT as well as in the local, national and international transport realm • Lead and develop research-led training and education opportunities in areas relevant to transport • Oversee all administrative activities and maximise efficiency of the TCT Training Academy • Manage financial planning and control processes • Manage programmes and projects • Be involved in communication and relationship building • Manage staff Please forward your application to [email protected] Closing Date: 4 July 2014 • Please quote the reference number of the vacancy in all communications. • Certified copies of qualifications must be available on request. • Visit our website at capetown.gov.za/careers • No late applications will be considered. • If no notification of appointment is received within 3 months of the closing date, please accept that your application was unsuccessful.
