MANAGING GODS MANSIONS. READING LUKE 19:11-27. I read the following story during my study. One stormy night an elderly couple entered the lobby of a small hotel and asked for a room. The hotel was filled, but the clerk, whose name was George C. Boldt, said I cant send you out in the rain at I a.m. Would you sleep in my room? The couple hesitated, but the clerk insisted. The next morning when the man paid his bill, he said, youre the Kind of manager who should be the boss of the best hotel in the United States. Maybe someday Ill build one for you. The clerk smile in amusement. A few years passed and the clerk received a letter from the elderly man. He recalled that stormy night and asked the clerk to come to New York for a visit. A round- trip ticket was enclosed. When the clerk arrived, his host took him to the corner of the 5th Avenue and 34th street, where a magnificent new building stood. That, explained multi-millionaire William Waldorf Astor, is the hotel I have just build for you to manage. In Heaven there will be Mansion to manage. So we should never underestimate the importance of what we are doing now for Jesus sake. Faithful service here on earth prepares us for great things in glory. God requirements is faithfulness, our rewards is fruitfulness . The parable that Jesus put forth in the Gospel of Luke 19- reading illustrates that each redeemed believer has the responsibility to use faithfully what God has given him. Each one of us has been given the chance, the time, and the means to live for Christ by word and deed, by acts of kindness, in prayer, through offering, and many other ways: Whoever has been faithful in his service for The Lord and has sincerely shared His burden and His concerns here on earth, will be richly rewarded in the future kingdom. He will be given even greater tasks in the new Heaven and the new earth (Rev 21:1). Those who have been faithful to a lesser degree will receive a smaller place and responsibility. So therefore dear friends/ family I charge you to offer your heart services to God and you will be rewarded. Many blessings.
