MANCHESTER UNITED CAN STILL TURN THINGS AROUND ON SUNDAY AGAINST CHELSEA A sunny day is hard to come by in freezing winter temperatures, but if Manchester United could get one on Sunday, then there is just a chance they can still turn their entire season around and challenge for top spot in the English Premier League! No doubt, the match will be massive! Chelsea’s Mourinho knows exactly what this match means to David Moyes, and he will go all out to compound the diminishing performance of United this season! Known for his shrewd tactics and savvy team selection, Mourinho is an acknowledged architect of misery for his opponents. But as the saying goes, ‘’If you want to be the best, then you’ve got to beat the best!’’ [They’ve beaten us, so they can beat Chelsea!] In fact, to be a bit more specific, the proverb itself needs some modification, because we’ve got to be careful not to overlook the real league leader, ARSENAL! So, a re-rephrase will look like this: ‘’If you want to maintain your position as the best, then you’ve got to start a comeback by beating the third best!’’ David Moyes has to get it right on Sunday. First, he’s got to match Mourinho not only on the very task of team selection, but also in ‘’Pitch Agitation’’. Moyes ought to change his usual passive looks into a hungry lion desperate for a win! We ARSENAL FANS want to see him running up and down the pitch, signalling, gesticulating, and throwing water-cans whenever controversial decision go against them. Mourinho will be doing the same, and we all know how that has influenced referee/linesmen decisions over the years! As a matter of fact, Moyes has to find a permanent marker for Azzard. That boy is becoming a menace in the Premier League! He is skilful, possesses short and thick legs that can generate pace, maintain stamina and propel him into dangerous areas within seconds! That is actually why he is capable of picking the right spot to place his shorts, because he does many things with lightening speed! One more thing! If Man U needs help on Sunday in terms of fan support, we ARSENAL can readily come to their aid. Wenger and Fergusson had good working relations particularly in the recent years before Sir Alex’s resignation. Out of the same goodwill overtures, Wenger is the only coach in the EPL that has prophesized a Fergusson comeback, so there’s nothing wrong for us to link up arms and voices as allies on the stands during a crucial match like that of Sunday’s! Goodluck Man U! Someone has to help get the blues off our trail!!! Unisa Kanu
