MANDELA DAY AT WITS Mandela Day, celebrated every year on 18 July, is an annual international day of humanitarian action in celebration of Mandela’s life and legacy. The day, observed on the former state man’s birthday, serves as a catalyst for all to realise that they have the ability to change the world through action. Donations of non-perishable food items and toiletries for students in need may be dropped off at the following offices/points on 18 July 2014: Braamfontein Campus East – Library Lawns between 13:00 and 14:00 Braaamfontein Campus West – CCDU office – during working hours Wits Business School – Chantel Evans-Smit’s office – during working hours School of Education – Julie Donnelly’s office /Staff lounge – during working hours Faculty of Health Sciences –1st Floor Lobby, Phillip V.
