MANDERAS INSECURITY:ECONOMIC THREAT Insecurity has flared,culminating in the daring bombing of the county revenue office days ago.Theres knavery from the county govt,spurility from the locals and laxity from the security organs in addressing this meance.The county security apparatus have lost credibility to decipher the insecurity mystery.My fellow county brethrens,our very existance and economic boom depends on security and insecurity means FULL STOP to development,good health care,accountability and governance.More worse is the disintegration of inter-ethnic cohesion. The county regime must put measures in place and not reactionary approach as the governors proposal of asking for security operation from the national government.Criminals do not live in vacuum.They live among us and as such community policing devoid of haggard looking pseudo-paramilitary Homeguards should be adopted.The governor must institute policy makers from across ethnic and political divides to come up with robust solution. To the Mandera locals, we should drop the mentality of living in assumption that containing insecurity is solely the job of the govt.We should be patriotic enough to deliver criminals to the relevant authority for prosecution.We should not give it clan dimension.Insecurity anywhere is a threat to security everywhere.
